This was one of our larger projects this season: a big family garden in Walton-on-Thames that needed a complete new lawn, around 550m² in total.

What we did

  • Stripped out the entire old lawn across the whole garden

  • Prepared and levelled the ground, working neatly around the cricket net, birch trees and sunken trampoline

  • Supplied and laid 550m² of new turf

  • Planted 30 laurels along the boundary for screening and privacy

Working at scale

On a lawn this size, preparation is everything. A large area makes small problems in the levels much more obvious, and the ground has to be firm and even everywhere so the turf roots evenly. We also left clean, tidy edges around the trampoline, patio and planting so the finished lawn looks sharp from every angle.

The result

A huge, even lawn ready for cricket, the trampoline and everything else a family garden gets used for. The new laurels will thicken up into an evergreen screen along the boundary over the next few seasons.

Big or small, every lawn gets the same care. If you're in Walton-on-Thames, Weybridge, Hersham or nearby, call 07359 212 226 or get a free quote. Larger lawns cost less per m², so see our turf laying cost guide.
