This policy explains what personal information We Lay Lawn Turf Ltd ("we", "us") collects when you use welaylawnturf.co.uk or contact us, why we collect it, and your rights. What we collect

When you fill in our contact form, email, call, or message us on WhatsApp, we collect the details you give us: your name, phone number, email address, the address of the property, details of the job, and any photos of your lawn or garden you send.

If you become a customer, we also keep quotes, invoices, payment records and job notes.

When you browse the site, our website platform (Wix) and embedded services record basic technical information such as your IP address, browser, device and the pages you visit, using cookies and similar technologies.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, visit and measure your garden, prepare quotes, carry out and follow up on the work, take payment, keep our accounts and meet our legal obligations, and keep the website working and secure.

We will not sell your information, and we will only send you marketing if you have asked us to. You can opt out at any time.

Our legal basis

We handle your information because it is needed to take steps at your request before entering a contract and to carry out that contract, because we must keep financial records by law, and because we have a legitimate interest in running and improving our business and website. Where non-essential cookies are used, we rely on your consent, which you can change at any time through the cookie banner.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with trusted providers who help us run the business, and only as much as they need:

• Wix.com, which hosts our website and receives contact form submissions

• Our email, phone and messaging providers (including WhatsApp, if you choose to contact us that way)

• Our accountant and accounting software, for invoices and tax records

• Google and Trustpilot, whose review widgets appear on our site

Some of these providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, they use legally approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or standard contractual clauses. We may also share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

If you make an enquiry but do not go ahead, we delete your details within 12 months. If you become a customer, we keep job and financial records for six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as required for tax purposes. Lawn photos are kept only as long as they are useful for your quote or job, unless you agree to us using them as examples of our work.

Your rights
